When you purchase an embroidery design from us you acquire a Limited Commercial Use License to sew the design on 50 units for personal use, profit or charity. Under no circumstances is the original or altered design file to be sold, traded or shared in any form. Buying, selling, trading, sharing or transferring copies of our design files is a violation of copyright law.
Windstar Embroidery Designs (WindstarEmbroidery.com) retains the copyright to the original design files. This policy applies to all designs.
Limited Commercial Use means you can resell up to 50 items embroidered with our designs from one location only. You may not sell them to wholesale companies, department stores, chain stores or web-based catalogs.
Production of more than 50 stitched out units of a design or product SKU is defined as Commercial Embroidery and is strictly prohibited without the purchase of a Commercial Use License. The Commercial Use License gives you the right to embroider our designs on items for profit and sell them from one location. You may not sell them to wholesale companies, department stores, chain stores or web-based catalogs.
Our pricing is simple: For an annual fee of $50.00 per design or design ID number you may embroider your purchased designs and sell the embroidered products from one location, such as your web site, brick and mortar store or craft shows.
