Embroidery Pattern Catalogue, published in the mid to late 1800s by the Thomas Brown & Sons company of Manchester, England, represents the Passionists (The Congregation of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ) a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint Paul of the Cross. The words "Jesu XPI Passio" mean "Passion of Jesus Christ".
