Madcap Cookery: Mushrooms
We hunt morel mushrooms in the spring right around the time the apple trees are coming into bloom. The best times are a warm day not many hours after a rain. We've had our best luck searching the edges of fields near dead elm trees where the bark is just beginning to fall off.
